This year’s theme is Generative AI and Multi-modality Large Foundation Models. Seven experts from Google’s large foundation model development team and eight Taiwanese scholars have been invited to Taiwan to deliver keynote speeches and participate in seminars, sharing and exchanging ideas with Taiwanese academic and research teams.
The originally planned three-day in-person event was temporarily moved online due to a typhoon. Despite the change to online, over 600 people still participated over the three days, with participants actively engaging with the speakers online, resulting in excellent outcomes.
1. This forum will primarily be conducted in Chinese, with some sessions in English.
2. This event is subject to an application review process. Registration does not guarantee admission. Notification of participation will be sent via email three days prior to the event.
自從2018年開始，Google 每年與臺灣大學舉辦「AI 創新研究營」，邀請Google 的學者與臺灣的教授與學生分享最新AI領域的研究，協助培育在地人才並與世界接軌。為讓更多師生能參加，今年擴大舉行，並改名為 Google AI Academic Forum (AI 學術論壇)，由臺灣大學與成功大學共同舉辦兩個場次，在臺北與臺南以實體活動方式進行。今年的主題是生成式AI (Generative AI)、以及多模態大模型 (Multi-modality Large Foundation Models)。邀請 Google 大型模型研發團隊專家來台，與臺灣學研團隊分享與交流。活動內容將安排專家演講、座談、與聽眾問答、以及自由交流討論等方式。

For this event, Google invited six experts from its large language model (LLM) development team to engage in forward-looking technical exchanges with academic and research teams in Taiwan.
In addition, professors participating in the Google University Relations program were invited to share case studies, fostering industry–academia dialogue and exploring further opportunities for collaborative research.
The event attracted over 320 registrants, with lively on-site interactions.
